Based in London, Sum is an artist and designer working in different mediums and processes. Her broad practice includes paintings, illustrations, text (known as ill-verse), 3D works and photography. Predominantly working in an illustrative and graphic style, her work plays with dark humour and the implied to explore psychological landscapes and narratives.

Complimentary to this is her minimal and thoughtful design-work for fashion and home accessories. Understatement statement pieces experimenting with different disciplines such as print, embroidery, ceramics and metalwork.

With an education and background in textile design, Sum has worked with other designers and artists in print workshops and currently teaches printed textiles in higher education.
